The 10-round Springfield Armory® Prodigy™ adapts the classic 1911 platform for capacity-restricted states, incorporating a double-stack design and a range of modern performance upgrades. Its polymer grip module attaches to a forged steel frame equipped with an ambidextrous thumb safety and Picatinny rail, while a 5-inch heavy bull barrel is paired with a forged steel slide that uses AOS (Agency Optic System) plates made specifically for the 1911 DS. These billet-steel plates provide proper optic height, include an integrated rear sight, and ensure a clear, intuitive sight picture. The pistol comes with a HEX Dragonfly-compatible plate, with additional optic-specific options available separately.
