Hornady 308 Winchester 110 Grain TAP Urban ammunition is engineered for police marksmen and duty use in high collateral-risk environments. Its polymer-tipped hollow-point projectile is designed to expand rapidly and fragment completely, producing limited penetration in ballistic gelatin while creating substantial temporary and permanent cavities. The lightweight bullet also offers lower felt recoil than heavier TAP loads. Each cartridge uses a match-grade brass case, a staked large rifle primer pocket, and temperature-stable propellant with flash retardant. The load performs optimally in a 1:12 twist barrel and is compatible with 1:10 to 1:12 twist rates, including the M14 and its variants.
