The Freedom Ordnance FX-9 is a 9mm semi-automatic carbine built around a lightweight aluminum-alloy receiver and a durable black hardcoat anodized finish. Its 16-inch 4150 chrome moly nitrided barrel uses a 1:10 twist and is fitted with a muzzle brake. A six-position synthetic stock allows the length of pull to be adjusted, while the top Picatinny rail provides a practical platform for adding an optic. The FX-9 accepts Glock-pattern 9mm magazines and includes a manual safety for controlled handling.
